The Mid Glamorgan Ambulance National Health Service Trust Order came into force on 1 December 1993, creating the Trust to manage ambulance and associated patient transport services in the Mid Glamorgan area under the National Health Service framework.

Description: Grey-blue body, bonnet, chassis, opening rear doors, mudguards, running boards and ribbed roof; red 12 spoke wheels on plain black tyres with spare on drivers side above running board; radiator grille, windscreen, headlights and sidelamps in gold; toolbox cover on left side running board in grey-blue; black plastic RHD steering wheel; black seats; red rear lights; Mid-Glamgoran insignia on both sides of upper panel with 'MID-GLAMGORAN AMBULANCE SERVICE' in light yellow print on both sides of lower van panel; 'AMBIWLANS' written across rear doors and 'AMBULANCE' across headboard in light yellow text; coat-of-arms on both cab doors; front and rear number-plates – HB999

Variations: Red or gold 12 spoke wheels.
